Hello hoomans! My name is Katniss or I am better known to some as KahLua (try googling my name, you might like me already). Beauty is not in the face, beauty is in the heart. I may not be the cutest of the lot, but I have a kind and loving heart. I've been through thick and thin, including a few pregnancies, but I've still got fire in me. I just need some patience and time to warm up to new people. Wits and caution were my second nature which has led me through hardships in the past as a young mummy so please give me some time to open up myself to you as old habits die hard. Despite this, I have a tame character with lots of love and kindness to share with a family who too would love me and is willing to introduce me to a secure and happy lifestyle. I am also known as the “puppy eye expert” with floppy ears, and am petite in size. Compared to the first day when I stepped foot into the shelter, I have made improvements in leaps and bounds with some guidance. I am thankful for the patience I have received during my adapting phase. I hope my new found family would have canine experience, as I need to learn what it is like to be a loved family pet. Fun fact: I'm Alfa and Bravo's mummy. *Origin* 3 years ago, I gave birth to my little ones when I was a stray living an insecure life, constantly hiding, rummaging for food, exploring habitats to ensure my babies were safe. Without much choices, I sought refuge within a premise in the Eastern side of Singapore because it seemed like a safe place for them. I would sneak away when my pups were soundly asleep to search for food. Sometimes I got lucky, kind strangers laid packets of bought rice, while other days was harder to survive, but my babies were growing. They cried a lot because they were often hungry and complains were soon lodged. Rescuers reached out to bring my kids to a safer place while I was out to search for food. I didn’t know the good intentions of these rescuers as I had never felt human warmth up-close.
